Phoning for Appointment, and Fees

Please phone: 0845 8334458 (charged as a local call)

I believe that a person should not be expected to choose a therapist on the basis of a website, or even a phone call, and I also feel that a responsible therapist does not take a new client without meeting him/her first.

For these reasons, I like to offer a
first free consultation.  I also like to clarify that this is with no commitment on either side.  As you will understand, when I am working with a client, I do not take messages until after a session is ended, but there are always staff to answer the phone and take a message.  So if you would like to discuss a first free consultation, please feel very welcome to phone:

0845 8334458

...now is a good time to phone if you will be there for the next hour or two.  This means I can phone you back as soon as I am free - I return 95% of all calls within 2 hours, most far sooner.

When a person and I have met for around an hour, if we are both feeling that we are choosing to work together to address the issues we have discussed, I then invite the person to book and to pay in advance for a first treatment appointment, the fee for which is currently £67 for weekday appointments, £73 for evening and weekend appointments.

In part because of the generosity of some clients, who choose to pay up to £20 more than the standard fee to help clients who could not afford the full cost of treatment, I am able to offer a reduction of £20 on standard fees to a very limited number of clients, whose only income is state benefits, or who are otherwise suffering extreme financial hardship.

(You may notice that even those choosing to pay more to help others are still paying less than the clients of some therapists, who state their fees on their websites)

As you would expect, the number of clients I can treat on this basis partly depends on the number presently choosing to pay more than the standard fee. If you are in extreme financial hardship and need such subsidy, please ask me when we speak by phone, about whether a subsidised place is currently available. If you feel able to help me to treat others by paying up to £20 above the standard fee, please mention this at any appointment.
